Three men arrested in a Charleston fatal robbery that stemmed over a $75 debt have each been convicted of murder and manslaughter charges. While two will spend three decades in prison, the third man will serve five years behind bars.
On Nov. 19, Derrick S. Stewart Jr., 21, was sentenced in Charleston County Circuit Court, nearly a year after he pleaded guilty to manslaughter for his role in the Oct. 30, 2021, slaying of Travis Terrell Green Jr.
Stewart testified against both of his codefendants in the case, the victim’s cousin Antonio Jerome Green, 22, and Brian Sease, 33. Stewart said Antonio Green and Sease were with the 22-year-old victim when he heard several gunshots as he fled the scene with the victim’s backpack containing marijuana. Download PDF
