SUMMERVILLE — Fire crews responded to a reported fire on the fifth floor of a hotel Wednesday night near Azalea Square.

Firefighters with the Summerville Fire Department responded to the Wyndham Garden hotel on Holiday Drive around 6:30 p.m. Nov. 26.

A spokesperson for the department said the fire was quickly extinguished once crews arrived and no injuries were reported.

The hotel was evacuated while crews put out the flames, but remained open. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
