LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - Deputies with the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single-vehicle crash off Rough Creek Road, located 12 miles southeast of London, on Nov. 23.
A black Chevrolet pickup truck crashed and ended up in a ditch after hitting two mailboxes.
Upon arrival, they found Troy Blanton, 62, of London, had a strong odor of alcohol and slurred speech.
Deputies determined he was under the influence and was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence (first offense) and operating with a suspended or revoked operator’s license.
He was taken to the Laurel County Correctional Center.
