Two downstate Republican state lawmakers say they will not seek re-election in 2026.
76-year old Rich Collins was first elected in the 41st District in south-central Sussex County more than a decade ago.
Collins has consistently been rated as among the most conservative members of the General Assembly by the American Conservative Union.
"I want to thank all the people of the 41st District who, for more than a decade, have placed their faith in me to make their voices heard at Legislative Hall," Collins said. "It has been a challenging job at times, but one that I have always taken pride in performing to the best of my abilities."
Also 76 years old, State Representative Charles Postles, from the 33rd District in southeast Kent County will not seek re-election after ten years of service.
