TJ Maxx-brand retailer makes first move into Arizona

Holiday shoppers keep receiving new options to find gifts this season.

Apparel, footwear and outdoor gear retailer Sierra opened its first store in Arizona on Nov. 22 with an official unveiling at 14059 N. Prasada Parkway in Surprise.

The store opened its doors in grand style with a DJ spinning music, store giveaways and a hidden tag activity that won some shoppers a Sierra gift card.

Sierra operates 145 stores across 39 states, but before the opening in Surprise, the closest locations to the Valley were in Albuquerque or northern California.
