MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - The U.S. Attorney’s Office announced that 11 people have been federally indicted for allegedly assaulting, resisting, or impeding federal law enforcement officers during the Memphis Safe Task Force (MSTF) operation. U.S. Attorney Mike Dunavant said the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Oct. 1 — Luis Cordova, 26: Cordova was stopped after allegedly running a red light and was found to be driving without a valid license. As a Deputy U.S. Marshal began to handcuff him, Cordova allegedly attempted to flee. He is charged with resisting, opposing, impeding, or interfering with a federal officer.
