A Maine woman has been arrested on a charge of second-degree murder in connection with the death of her mother-in-law in Exeter earlier this year, the Attorney General’s Office said Tuesday.
Danielle Kelsen, 55, was taken into custody in Southwest Harbor, Maine, on Nov. 18, and is accused of killing Janet Kelsen, 88.
Janet Kelsen was found dead in her home on Front Street in Exeter on Feb. 9. An autopsy determined she died from blunt head trauma and her manner of death was homicide.
An arrest warrant was obtained for Danielle Kelsen, alleging she “recklessly caused the death of Janet Kelsen under circumstances manifesting an extreme indifference to the value of human life by inflicting blunt head trauma."
