Fair Lawn police released their blotter on Tuesday, Nov. 25, outlining a busy month of arrests across town, including a wanted man with warrants in four New Jersey towns.
On Friday, Oct. 31, at 11:59 p.m., officers responded to McDonald’s on 37-01 Broadway for a report of an unconscious driver in a vehicle. Police say Officer Patrick Jablonowski arrested Anthony Finocchio Jr., 51, of Elmwood Park, after he failed a roadside sobriety test. He was released to a responsible adult after being charged with driving while intoxicated.
On Saturday, Nov. 1, at 6:58 p.m., Officer Juan Rodriguez responded to a crash at Henderson Boulevard at Maple Avenue and arrested Daniel K. Moran, 54, of Fair Lawn, after he failed a roadside sobriety test. Police charged him with driving while intoxicated, open alcoholic beverage in a vehicle, unregistered vehicle, reckless driving, and assault by auto.
A major arrest followed on Friday, Nov. 7 at 2:21 p.m., when Officer Tiller Uriarte stopped a vehicle at Broadway West at 17th Street. Police say Ishmael J. Cureton, 29, of Bogota, was found to have active arrest warrants with Woodcliff Lake, Clifton, Red Bank, and Ocean Township. He was turned over to the Woodcliff Lake Police Department.
Court records show his cases included driving after his license or registration had been suspended or revoked in Fair Lawn, Paterson, Bogota, and Maywood. Most of the charges were traffic infractions, however, records show he was charged with tampering with public records in New Milford for making a false entry with intent to defraud or injure. He also had two theft charges in Ocean Township and Red Bank for taking movable property valued at less than $200.
On Nov. 12 at 3:25 p.m., Officer Mark Roskowsky responded to ShopRite, 22-00 Maple Avenue, and arrested Regina R. Rutherford, 54, of Paterson, after she was found to be in possession of $170.39 of unpaid merchandise. She was released after being charged with shoplifting.
On Nov. 14 at 9:43 p.m., Officer Victor Urgiles arrested Crystal A. Singletary, 22, of Paterson, at the same ShopRite location after she was found to be in possession of $234.04 of unpaid merchandise. She was released after being charged with shoplifting.
Police handled two more incidents on Nov. 24. At 6:13 p.m., Officer Anthony Ferreira Jr. responded to a crash at Berdan Avenue at Cadmus Place and arrested George A. Bowen, 67, of Franklin Lakes, after he failed a roadside sobriety test. Bowen was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, and open alcoholic beverage in a vehicle.
At 6:46 p.m., Officer Javier Gutierrez arrested Lusic Reingewirc, 79, of Fair Lawn, at CVS, 24-12 Fair Lawn Avenue, after she “was found to be in possession of $45.12 of unpaid merchandise.” She was released after being charged with shoplifting.
