KINGSTON, N.H. —
A small earthquake was detected Tuesday morning in southern New Hampshire.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey , the 1.8-magnitude earthquake was centered three kilometers southwest of Kingston. It shook at 10:13 a.m.
There were no reports of damage or injuries.
This quake follows a few minor ones that were detected in the past few months, including one earlier this month in Webster.
Of course, many won’t soon forget the earthquake that shook New Hampshire in January, when a 3.8-magnitude quake centered just off Portsmouth hit at 10:22 a.m. on Jan. 27.
Earthquakes in the Granite State are typically minor, though there have been other memorable ones. In 2012, a 4.0-magnitude earthquake centered in southern Maine rocked New Hampshire and was felt from as far away
