CHARLESTON, W.Va. — West Virginia Chief Justice William R. “Bill” Wooton has issued an administrative order declaring a half-day judicial holiday on the afternoon of Wednesday, Nov. 26, for offices operating within the West Virginia Judicial System. This follows a proclamation issued by Gov. Patrick Morrisey.
The order applies to all judicial offices and judicial employees under the authority, supervision, or control of the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia. This includes the Intermediate Court of Appeals, as well as magistrate, family, and circuit court offices statewide.
The chief circuit judge of each judicial circuit is instructed to take necessary measures to ensure access to magistrate court services during the holiday period.
