CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — Crime apparently decided not to take a day — or even a half day — off Tuesday.

Clarksburg Police were busy arresting one man on an allegation that he tried to unlawfully withdraw $500 from the Clarksburg West Main Street WesBanco via identity theft.

Meanwhile, Clarksburg Police brought another felony charge against a man accused of stealing a woman's vehicle from the parking lot of an area gym.

And West Virginia State Police charged a man with failure to comply with the state's Sex Offender Registration Act.

In the identity theft case, bank officials got a tip from other WesBanco branches in the area to watch out for the defendant, Robert John Glancey, 63, of Philadelphia. Glancey was using an Ohio man's identity to try to steal money from banks, according to Clarks
