A major fire has broken out at an industrial estate in Northallerton, which has seen eight fire engines attend the scene.

The incident, which started at around 4.30pm on Tuesday (November 25), saw emergency services descend on Gaskell Close, within the Standard Way Industrial Estate.

North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service mobilised eight fire appliances, including the newly-commissioned pump, which had been on the run for just one hour before being deployed to the incident.

Firefighters are currently working inside the industrial estate to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to neighbouring units.
