FRONT ROYAL — Downtown Front Royal Inc. (DFRi) is planning a full slate of activities to celebrate Small Business Saturday this weekend.

While stores will be open throughout the day, the nonprofit’s event is set for noon to 4 p.m. Saturdday and will offer opportunities for interaction and engagement with local merchants both in person and via a new app.

Several businesses along Main Street are set to host festivities to show their appreciation for shoppers who come out to support them.

“Every dollar spent downtown stays in our community, supports a family, and strengthens our local economy,” said Danielle Haase, vice president of the DFRi board. “Small Business Saturday is the perfect kickoff to the holiday season, and we hope everyone chooses to shop local and shop small.”
