FRONT ROYAL — Since the spring of 2023, the Warren Coalition has been offering housing for recovering addicts, creating a safe place for individuals to get back on their feet and rejoin society.
With three homes now — two for men and one for women — the Coalition program is making a huge impact for local residents who are rebuilding their lives.
Jason Tucker, 44, has been dealing with addiction for 25 years. Now clean and sober for three years, Tucker moved to the area more than a decade ago in an effort to get away from his drug use, but quickly found himself using again.
“Next thing I knew, I was committing felonies to get drugs. I went to jail a couple of times,” said Tucker, who now serves as house manager for Kolby’s House, one of the Coalition's recovery homes for men.
