SURPRISE, Ariz. — Several people were transported to the hospital after a car crash reported Tuesday afternoon on the Loop 303 in the West Valley, officials said.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety said several cars were involved in a collision reported in the northbound lanes at milepost 115, near Greenway Road in Surprise. The crash occurred at about 12:45 p.m.

DPS said several people are being treated for injuries. Access to the northbound lanes may be restricted as law enforcement officials respond to the scene.
