A man discovered dead at a farm in Nottinghamshire has been locally identified as the son of a missing pensioner who is at the heart of a murder investigation.
Nottinghamshire Police confirmed on Monday that they had initiated a "homicide investigation" following the disappearance of Brian Wright, 82, who was reported missing from his residence in Langford, near Newark, on 20 November.
Police were subsequently summoned to a farm on Saturday, where they found the body of a 52-year-old man in an outbuilding. The police have stated that this death is believed to be connected to Mr Wright's disappearance.
The 52-year-old man has now been locally identified as Charles Wright, the eldest of Brian's three sons, who resided in the neighbouring village of Winthor
