Peoria police have arrested a 17-year-old male in connection with a deadly shooting at Lexington Hills Apartments over the weekend.

The juvenile suspect was taken into custody Monday following an interview with Peoria Police detectives at the police department.

He faces charges of aggravated battery, home invasion, and armed robbery in the November 22 shooting that left one teenager dead and another man wounded.

Officers were dispatched to the 3400 block of West Oakcrest Drive at Lexington Hills Apartments around 11:25 p.m. Saturday after reports of shots fired.

Upon arrival, officers found an unresponsive 17-year-old male inside an apartment suffering from gunshot wounds to the torso. First responders initiated emergency life-saving measures, but the teen was later pronounced dead at
