SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - Iowa Congressman Randy Feenstra continued his campaign for governor with a stop in Sioux City Tuesday afternoon.

About a dozen people came to Feenstra’s meet-and-greet event at the Pizza Ranch restaurant on Floyd Boulevard.

Some asked about health-related topics like insurance subsidies, dental programs, and what is under the Affordable Care Act, which are set to expire next month. People who buy their insurance coverage on the individual market benefit from a subsidy from the federal government that helps pay their premiums.

That subsidy expires Dec. 31.

As a result, the amount those Americans will have to pay “out of pocket” will go up in 2026, according to the Brookings Institution.
