SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - Tuesday night, Sioux City’s Planning and Zoning Commission voted to rezone land, off of 41st Street, on the city north side, for a housing subdivision that promises dozens of new homes.
The commission also approved the preliminary plat of the subdivision called “ Lieber Heights .”
Both items head to the city council, on December 4th, for its approval.
The plan includes a total of 156 homes over the span of ten years.
Residents did raise concerns over the density of population, and an increase traffic.
A traffic study is being done and will be completed in January.
“That traffic study would show what improvements in the vicinity needs to occur to accommodate the additional traffic that the development would create. Whether that’s knew traffic signal, stop signs.
