A woman from Florida in the US began a relationship with her mother's boyfriend shortly after her mother passed away from breast cancer, and later stabbed him to death after they got married. ‌

Danielle Redlick admitted to killing her husband and former step-father, Michael Redlick, 65, claiming it was in self-defence on 11 January 2019. However, her daughter has described Danielle as wearing an "incredible mask" and expressed fear for her brother's safety. ‌

At the age of 22, Danielle started dating Michael, 39, stating they grew close following her mother's death from "aggressive breast cancer," according to Law and Crime. ‌
