Thanksgiving tales of disasters and salvation from Rhode Islanders

Thanksgiving is a favorite holiday for many, thanks to the comforting food , the gathering of family and football.

But it's also fraught with land mines, not the least of which is cooking the complicated feast that requires coordinating timing to get turkey, sides, gravy and more to the table at the same time. Then add in baking pies to serve at the end of the feast.
