In a stunning display of judicial overreach and its underwhelming consequences, Geauga County Juvenile Court Judge Tim Grendell has been kicked off the bench for six months for jailing two teenagers who refused to visit their father.

The case dates back to the COVID-19 pandemic when Grendell had two boys, ages 13 and 15, arrested and placed in juvenile detention with maximum restrictions over a weekend simply because they had the audacity to defy his order to visit their father in a custody dispute.

“He just was out of control. He could not accept being defied,” said Chris Quinn on Tuesday’s episode of Today in Ohio.
