The mother of a teenager murdered as part of the postcode rivalry in east Bristol has called on all sides to stop, saying that there has been ‘enough blood shed on the streets of Bristol’. In a powerful speech outside the city’s Crown Court, Irene Muthemba directly addressed the young people who carry knives, and called on adults to ‘do everything’ to stop the tragedies of knife crime.
She spoke after the man who led the police investigation into her son Eddie Kinuthia’s murder and the attempted murder of another teen, said the streets would be safer with Zacharia Talbert-Young and Paul Elijah Hayden behind bars .
