PHOENIX — Drivers in Arizona now have more options for what type of specialty license plate they want to install on their vehicle.
The Arizona Department of Transportation recently announced the inclusion of three new specialty plate designs that motorists can order through the agency. ADOT now has a total of 109 plate designs to choose from.
The three new designs pay tribute to the Phoenix Mercury team, Ovarian Cancer Awareness and the Verde Valley Wine Trail.
Most specialty plates cost $25 per year and about $17 of that amount is donated to the designated nonprofit or charity organization associated with the plate.
Funds generated from the Phoenix Mercury plates will be given to the Phoenix Suns/Phoenix Mercury Foundation, which gives back to communities across Arizona. Money from th
