A private hire driver who urinated on a Glasgow street was filmed by an annoyed resident who made a complaint to the council. Councillors were shown footage of the incident at today’s licensing and regulatory committee, which occurred in a residential street in the city in September.

Appearing in front of the committee, driver Yasar Arafat apologised for his behaviour and said he tried to shield himself with the car door when relieving himself. In the complaint, the resident said he showed disregard and it raised concerns about “decency”.
