LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – A Lexington nonprofit leader has kicked off a 50-hour continuous performance to raise awareness and support for Believing in Forever Inc.’s 12th annual “A Coat to Keep the Cold Away” youth coat drive.
Devine Carama’s flash campaign aims to raise $10,000 or collect 500 new coats for Kentucky kids in need.
Believing in Forever, a local nonprofit, has distributed more than 25,000 brand-new coats to children in eastern and central Kentucky over the past 11 years. The group works with school family resource centers to identify families who need assistance and collect coat size and gender information to make sure each child receives the right fit.
