SEDALIA, Mo - A Sedalia man was arraigned this morning on drug and weapon charges in Pettis County.
According to a probable cause statement, members of the Sedalia Police Department's Crime Resolution Unit served a search warrant at the property of 40-year-old Brad A. Cole. Authorities forced entry into the residence when Cole refused to respond. They located him in a bathroom where he was attempting to flush evidence.
Authorities located a handgun and ammunition around the toilet, as well as a broken cellphone in the sink. A rifle was also recovered from the upstairs bedroom. The search also revealed multiple vacuum sealed packages of marijuana weighing approximately 9.8 pounds. A digital scale with cocaine residue on it was also located.
