DALLAS — About 15,000 people are expected to gather Thanksgiving morning in Downtown Dallas for the annual Dallas YMCA Turkey Trot , and it's going to have a big impact on traffic.

Street closures are starting on Wednesday evening and many will remain in place until Thursday evening. The race will lead to closures around Downtown Dallas, Deep Ellum and Oak Cliff.

Parts of Young Street, two westbound lanes from Field Street to Griffin Street and all lanes from Saint Paul Street to Park Avenue, will be closed from 6 p.m. Wednesday until 5 p.m. Thursday. All Lanes of Young Street from Griffin to Harwood Streets will be closed from 4 a.m. Thursday until 1 p.m. Thursday.
