DEFIANCE — Authorities have identified the driver wanted in a hit-and-run that left a mother and two children seriously injured earlier this month.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol said Wednesday that Michael D. Quillen, 32, of Bryan, was the driver of a white Chevrolet Silverado that hit a horse-drawn buggy Nov. 12 in Williams County. Troopers responded to the 5:40 p.m. crash on eastbound County Road G near County Road 10 in Center Township.
Martha Wagler, 27, of Bryan, and her two children were struck from behind by a pickup truck that fled the scene, the patrol said at the time. Their current conditions could not be determined Wednesday.
In a news release, OSHP thanked the public for providing tips that located the vehicle and identified the driver.
The case remains under investigation
