LIVE OAK, Fla. (WCJB) — A former Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office finance director is accused of fraud and grand theft during her time working at the agency.
Sheriff’s deputies say Megan Corbin, 38, was arrested Tuesday in Taylor County following an FDLE investigation.
Officials say she was reassigned because of performance concerns early this year. The new finance director identified inconsistencies and notified the sheriff.
Corbin resigned after being approached about money discrepancies. The matter was then reported to the state for further investigation.
She now faces eight counts of grand theft and two counts of fraud.
