Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has provided an update after Leandro Trossard went off injured against Bayern Munich.

The Belgian winger was forced off seven minutes before half-time in Wednesday night’s 3-1 Champions League win at the Emirates Stadium.

Trossard, who scored in Sunday’s 4-1 north London derby victory over Tottenham , went straight down the tunnel after limping off the pitch having appeared to hurt his calf. His replacement, Noni Madueke, scored Arsenal’s second goal of the night.

After the game, Arteta was asked for an initial assessment of Trossard’s injury.

“With Leo, we don’t know [the extent of the injury],” he said. “He said he felt something. We didn’t want to take any risks, obviously.”
