EASTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) - A section of Ferry Street is closed after a car crashed into a utility pole, according to Easthampton Police.

Traffic accident closed Route 21 in Belchertown

According to police, Ferry Street is shut down from East Street to Arthur Street on Wednesday night while crews from Eversource work to replace the damaged pole.

The crash occurred around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, and no additional details about injuries or the circumstances of the collision have been released. Detours have been set up, and drivers are being urged to seek alternative routes to avoid delays.
