MADERA, Calif. (KFSN) -- A Madera County family has lots to be thankful for this season.
Body cam footage shows the moment a Madera County Sheriff's Deputy saves a choking toddler.
When the 14-month-old little girl began choking on the soft side of her pacifier, caregivers called 9-1-1.
Deputy Aguilar quickly arrived on scene and, with some help from her caregivers, was able to remove the pacifier, saving the child's life.
Action News has learned the baby was released from the hospital and is doing well.
The department says it is incredibly grateful to the quick actions of the child's caregivers and the great work of Deputy Aguilar.
