JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. (WAVE) - A video of a confrontation between a teacher and a student in a Jeffersonville High School bathroom has been spreading on social media. The student’s family is now exploring their legal options.
The Clark County Prosecutor’s office is also looking into the incident. WAVE spoke to one of the attorneys on the case.
The case is still fresh, and lawyers said they’re still working to gather all of the evidence, but they hope this incident is a wake-up call for Greater Clark County Schools when they are hiring and vetting teachers in the future.
“(We) saw the video and were, quite frankly, appalled at what we saw,” said Kyle Beach, an associate attorney with Blanton and Pierce, LLC.
