TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - Authorities said Pedro Samaniego Alvarez was allegedly drunk and speeding when he crashed into a disabled vehicle and killed a man and hurt three others in Tucson on Friday, Nov. 14.
The Tucson Police Department said the 72-year-old Alvarez was arrested on Wednesday, Nov. 26, on charges of manslaughter and endangerment. He is being held on a $250,000 bond.

The state claimed Alvarez’s BAC was .174, which is more than double the legal limit. The state also said that Alvarez was doing 77 mph in a 35 mph zone when he hit a disabled vehicle.
