DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Decatur police are looking into a homicide near Downtown Decatur Wednesday evening.
The Decatur Police Department confirmed to WAND News that they were initially called to investigate a shots fired call, and later confirmed it is a homicide. There are no suspects at this time.
A WAND News photographer on the scene just after 8:30 p.m. captured a heavy police presence along East Wabash Street.
The area was lined with several police cars with crime scene tape in some spots. Details are still limited as to what led up to shots being fired.
