Imaginarium Sacramento, billed as Northern California’s largest winter light show, will welcome guests Wednesday, organizers said, despite earlier reports that it would remain closed. The event has been delayed since Nov. 21 after damaged electrical panels required replacement and inspection. A Wednesday morning social media post announcing an opening was later deleted, and Cal Expo officials said the festival still lacked official clearance to open. Cal Expo spokeswoman Darla Givens said the earlier post was premature and that inspections on new electrical panels must be completed before the event can formally launch. Tickets for Wednesday night remained visible online, but organizers have not announced a confirmed opening date for the holiday season.
