100 Years Ago, 1925: A crate containing 15 chickens was stolen from in front of the store A. Neshovitz, Second and Norris streets, Wednesday night. Report of the theft was made to the police and a short time later Detective Farraday took into custody an 18-year-old city man of the 100 block of Edwards Street, who was found to have two of the stolen chickens in his possession. The youth made a confession, implicating a companion, and declared they had sold 10 of the 15 chickens.
