ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A woman was shot and killed in north St. Louis County on Wednesday evening.

Officers with the St. Louis County Police Department were called to the 10000 block of Cloverdale Drive at around 5 p.m. Wednesday. Upon arrival, officers found a woman who had been shot.

She was taken to an area hospital, where she later died.

Police say a person of interest has been arrested.

This is an active investigation being handled by the St. Louis County Police Department.
