APD searching for suspect involved in vehicle theft

ATLANTA — The Atlanta Police Department is looking for a man they say was involved in a vehicle theft.

Officers responded to the 1981 Joseph E. Boone Blvd NW on Nov. 18, around 2:20 a.m. in response to a vehicle being stolen. When they arrived, a woman told officers that her vehicle had been stolen.

Initial investigations indicate a male suspect entered the victim's vehicle while it was unlocked and left running.

According to officers, the woman was notified when the suspect entered her car, and she attempted to intervene but was hit by the vehicle as the suspect fled the scene.

APD investigators released surveillance video of the suspect.
