"When they brought the plate out, it was just overloaded," says Matt Bridgens, an attendee at the Thanksgiving meal.
The Chatt Foundation hosted its annual Thanksgiving meal. Through donations and the community's help, the non-profit was able to plan to feed nearly 500 people.
Volunteers say they are grateful to be a part of the day. Julie Holland says, "I'm really glad that you know this organization exists to really help people in the community." "It's really important to kind of be grateful for our privilege and what we have, and be there for others in their time of need," says Carissa Sanchez-Morrison.
Even the youngest of helpers had a role in the day. Ella Rucker, 9 years old, says, "I'm making drinks and helping with the pies and the cobblers."
