A motorist has become embroiled in a bitter parking row with a major airport after he was charged a double-digit sum for staying for just a few minutes to pick up his family.
Archie McCaig, 63, claims he was charged the sum after stopping at Manchester Airport's Terminal 2 barrierless pick-up zone for four minutes on November 21. He arrived at 8.23am to pick up his nephew and family after their return from a Florida holiday, and was driving away from the zone when he hit traffic.
Those few moments the family was stuck waiting to leave the airport appeared to have been counted by the airport, with Mr McCaig receiving
