Legendary Alaskan fiddler Bill Stevens died Wednesday at the age of 92. Friends are holding a fundraising event Saturday to help his family lay him to rest and honor his legacy.

The fundraiser will take place from 2-6 p.m. at the Chief David Salmon Tribal Hall. Anyone interested in donating their time, cooking skills, cash, or raffle items for the event are asked to contact Robin Renfrow at 907-328-9260.

Stevens’ funeral will be held at a later date.
