A city centre street was closed for hours on Friday morning after a man was spotted on the roof. Emergency services descended on Vauxhall Road in Vauxhall on Friday, November 28, following reports of concern for safety of a man on a roof.

Merseyside Police received a report at around 8.05am that a man had climbed the roof of a building. The force also said Blackstock Street was closed while the incident was being dealt with. A 34-year-old man has now been arrested on suspicion of causing public nuisance and criminal damage.
