Tacos, birria ramen, loaded fries and sweet chili jalapeno chicken wings are all on the menu at Tacos22, a new fast-casual Mexican restaurant set to open Monday in Livonia.

Coming to Middlebelt between Seven and Eight Mile roads, owners say Taco22's goal is to be "a place that's authentic but brings modern vibes."

"Everybody loves tacos," said owner Damian Dabish. He and Donavan Jabero are also owners of Nine Kitchen & Bar in Ferndale. "The whole neighborhood of Livonia, ever since we put our sign up, has been knocking on our doors. We can't wait to open in the community."

Tacos22 has 16 seats for dine-in and enticing lunch specials, but Dabish expects much of the evening business will be through carryout orders. They'll also offer catering.
