The National Weather Service issued a weather alert at 11:18 a.m. on Friday for lake effect snow until 12:15 p.m. for Herkimer, Hamilton, Saratoga, Warren, Washington and Fulton counties.

"At 11:17 a.m., a lake effect snow band was over Corinth, or 8 miles west of Glens Falls moving east at 45 MPH," according to the weather service.

This includes Interstate 87 between exits 14 and 22.

Expect lake effect snow in the following locations:

Glens Falls, Hudson Falls, Fort Edward, Glens Falls North, and West Glens Falls around 11:25 a.m.

Salem around 11:45 a.m.

Manchester and Dorset around noon.

Manchester Center around 12:05 p.m.
