LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - A single-vehicle crash early Friday caused damage to several utility structures and temporarily knocked out power to parts of central Laredo, according to police.
Officers said the crash was reported at about 12:50 a.m. near North Malinche Avenue and Chihuahua Street. Police said the vehicle struck a pole, damaging a transformer, a fire hydrant, and two additional poles.
When the crash occurred, a power outage affected an estimated 20 to 30 locations in the surrounding area. However, as of 10:30 a.m. Friday, AEP reported no active outages in the area.
No major injuries or arrests were reported.
