ZAPATA COUNTY, Tex. (KGNS) - A chase that started in Starr County ended Friday, Nov. 28, with a rollover crash and the arrest of a suspected human smuggler in Zapata County, according to a social media post from Sheriff Ramon E. Montes.
Miguel Angel Delgado Guzman lost control of his vehicle and crashed on Mesa Salinas Road after fleeing from Texas Parks and Wildlife Department officers on U.S. Highway 83, according to the Zapata County Sheriff’s Office.
The chase started in Starr County and went into Zapata County, where deputies encountered the car as it traveled along U.S. Highway 83 before turning onto Mesa Salinas Road.
After the vehicle rolled over, Delgado Guzman got out and tried to run away. Deputies tased him after he allegedly resisted arrest, according to the sheriff’s offic
