KILLINGLY, Conn. (WFSB) - Two masked suspects forcibly entered a Shell gas station early Friday morning and stole cash registers, according to state police.
The burglary occurred at approximately 3:34 a.m. at the Shell station located at 439 Hartford Pike in Killingly.
The suspects, who were wearing gloves, fled in a newer-model white Nissan Rogue SUV traveling westbound on Hartford Pike, police said.
Troopers recovered an empty cash register in the roadway near 118 Hartford Pike.
Two additional empty cash registers were found on Mashamoquet Road at Brook Front Lane in Pomfret.
State police are asking residents and businesses along Route 101 to review surveillance footage from around the time of the incident.
Anyone who drove through the area and has dash camera footage is also asked
