YOUNGSTOWN - A new duplex that was just built by the Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corporation (YNDC) was damaged following a fire early Friday morning.
The fire happened at a newly-built duplex on Glenwood Avenue in Youngstown around 6 a.m. Friday. The fire was contained to the porch of the duplex.
Youngstown Fire Investigator Charles Hodge tells 21 News at least five people were inside between the two units, with one upstairs and another downstairs. No one was injured.
The residents of the duplex were displaced, but it is unclear where they are staying at this time.
The fire is still under investigation.
